4. Is it ok to take medications for mental health problems during pregnancy?

5. What should a woman do if she experiences mental health difficulties during pregnancy?

6. Can it affect the partner?

7. What can the mothers do to ensure mental wellbeing during pregnancy?

Background:

Sadly suicide (due to mental health conditions) has remained a leading cause of Maternal Death all over the world. This webinar is dedicated to all the mothers (and families) affected by Perinatal mental health conditions.

Good emotional health and wellbeing are vital in every pregnancy (regardless of previous mental health history of the mother).

This could prevent many pregnancy complications (which could result from stress and uncontrolled mental health conditions), reduce the risks of postnatal (post-childbirth) mental health problems, improve bonding and attachment with the child and ensure health and wellbeing of the children in the forthcoming years.

Education and awareness in this area are important for all of us. This could be the only way to remove the stigma and myths. This would also help and encourage mothers (and partners) to seek help early.
