An inspirational Pharmacist making a difference in patient care…

The outstanding contribution of the pharmacists to the patient care is celebrated today in the social media using the #pharmacy24.

IFWIP would like to thank all the pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacy staff from all around the world for their tireless work in medicine and healthcare.

On this occasion, we are delighted to feature the inspirational work by Hala Jawad, one of our Board of Advisers.

Hala is a pharmacist from the United Kingdom who, in her own words, ‘is passionate about all things pharmacy!’

She has been one of the lucky ones to have been involved in many other activities outside of a traditional pharmacy career. She has tried her hand at some media-related performances, and she loves writing blogs!

She has worked in a community pharmacy settings and as a GP practice pharmacist in the UK.

She feels that every role has been different, but equally vital to her learning process.

On the Mothers Day, Hala hosted a Webinar with our Founder, Dr Raja Gangopadhyay to raise awareness of the importance of addressing mental wellbeing during the pregnancy and perinatal period which was attended by people from all across the world.

She has developed a special interest in public health and improving patient outcomes.

She has recently become a GP practice pharmacist mentor for the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), public health moderator for the RPS network and she sits on a steering group for the RPS in Surrey (UK).

She has received some accolades, such as being recognised as the very first Pharma Face, has been referred to as The Brighton Titan and has also been shortlisted as one of the Top 50 Pharmacy Influencers by Chemist & Druggist.

She won the IPS (Pharmacy Show 2015) Twitter competition. She was the host of the prestigious Zenith Global Award 2017.

She is the Founder of the Ask Hala, an opportunity to ask questions to a pharmacist online.
